Appointments

I offer appointments both within and after standard business hours.

To book an appointment:

Consultation fees are similar to the Australian Psychological Society Recommended Schedule of Fees.

Fees are payable on the day of the consultation. Payment via debit or credit card (Mastercard and Visa only) is preferable. If you would like to pay with cash, please ensure that you have the exact payment with you as cash is not stored on the premises.

Medicare provides rebates for psychological services for people with certain psychological conditions through the Better Access To Mental Health Care scheme.

Under this scheme a referral may be provided by a general practitioner, psychiatrist, or paediatrician. They will assess your eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan, and provide you with paperwork to bring to your first appointment.

As of July 2022, the Medicare rebate for a 50-60 minute clinical psychologist consultation is $131.65

If you are covered by the medicare safety net, your out of pocket expenses will be substantially less.

Most private health funds provide rebates for psychological services.  Your ability to to access a rebate from a private health fund will depend on your level of cover.

Please note that you cannot claim medicare rebates and private health fund rebates at the same time.

Your appointment time is set aside specifically for you.

You will receive a text message reminder 48 hours before your consultation.

If you cancel at the last moment, it is very unlikely that someone else will be able to use your time.  If you do not attend your appointment or cancel without 24 hours notice you will incur the full session fee.

Please note that you cannot claim rebates from Medicare or private health funds for a cancellation fee.
